Privacy Policy

Plain-language baseline. Will be reviewed by an attorney before public launch — these are not the final terms.

What we collect

• Email address (required for sign-in).
• Display name, if you choose to set one.
• The fact that you self-attested to being 21+ and a Pennsylvania resident, plus the timestamp.
• Delivery reports and sightings you submit, plus the timestamp on each.
• Standard server logs (request timestamps, IP, user agent) for short-term operational debugging.

What we don't collect

• Government IDs, driver's license numbers, or birth dates.
• Payment information (free tier only at the moment; SMS billing will use a third-party processor without storing card data on our servers).
• Real-time location data. We don't track where your phone is.
• Browsing history outside Bottle Hunt.

Vendors we use

We run on a small set of vendors and only the data needed for each service flows there: Supabase (auth, database, storage), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting). When the SMS tier launches, the same applies to Stripe (billing) and Twilio (SMS delivery).

We don't sell data

We don't sell or share your personal information with anyone, and we don't run third-party advertising networks. The site is funded by the future SMS subscription, not by selling your data.

21+ only

Bottle Hunt is for users who are 21 or older. We don't knowingly collect any data from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Deleting your account

Email hello@bottlehunt.net from the address on file and ask us to delete the account. We'll do it within seven days. The reports and sightings you submitted may remain in aggregate form (without your user ID attached) so the delivery-day calculations don't lose accuracy.
